How to reserve hotel rooms (before April 15, 2009)
The Organizing Committee of IWCE-13 secures 2 hotels for the participants
near the conference venue at the symposium rates. Please choose any appropriate one at your own
needs and reserve the accommodation oneself. Please indicate your identity in your reservation
to obtain the special off price for IWCE-13 participants. The symposium rates will not applied
after THE DEADLINE.

Description: Tsinghua-Foxconn Nanotechnology Research Center is a cooperation with Foxconn Group to establish a joint Nanotechnology research center. They plan to establish an international advanced Nanotechnology research base, taking advantage of Tsinghua University's sciences and talents and Foxconn Group's industrialization. They will do research on basic and applied Nanotechnology, to create new technology and push nanotechnology achievements within industrialization and promote new talents. Facilities: Inside the Nanotechnology Research Center, there are high-class super clean labs, advanced micro-nano preparation apparatus and testers and an excellent research & academic exchange environment. |
If you need to apply for visa to China, please complete the form below and send it to
iwce13@gmail.com. We will reply to you with an official invitation
letter. Please contact the Chinese embassy/consulate/visa office in your area to get a checklist
of materials that you may need to get a visa and include it in the email.(The materials
may differ with the location of embassy/consulate/visa office, so please check with the one which
will issue your visa to China.) The procedure for issuing an invitation letter may take about 2 weeks, please submit the application in advance to allow enough time for getting a visa.
For accompanying persons, you need to include other identical forms in the email, which are filled with their own information.

Beijing has an extensive public transportation network. Subway and City Rail with high speed trains running at intervals of 3 to 5 minutes are the fastest public transportation in the city. Public buses are the cheapest means of transportation which cover the entire city.
>>The starting fare of public buses is RMB 1 in the city and RMB 2 in the suburb areas.
>> The rate for single trip by subway of all city lines is RMB 2, so it is for tranferring between the lines.
>> In addition to the buses, subways and city rails, the taxis are also available in Beijing. The cheapest price for a taxi ride is RMB 10 yuan and the price following the 3-km taxi ride is RMB 2 yuan/km. Do not forget to keep your invoice. In case you leave any articles aboard, the invoice can help you find the taxi drivers. The taxi rate is around RMB 100 from Beijing Capital Intl. Airport to the IWCE Venue.
